UPDATE:
EARLIER: Here’s a scoop courtesy of Deadline. Hugh Jackman and Jodie Comer are attached to star in Michael Sarnoski’s “The Death of Robin Hood.” Those are two acting heavyweights for a project that is sure to be a major player at this year’s Cannes market.
This is said to be a dark reimagining of the classic tale of Robin Hood. The film will see the title character grappling with his past after a life of crime and murder, a “battleworn loner who finds himself gravely injured and in the hands of a mysterious woman, who offers him a chance at salvation”.
Production is due to begin in February 2025. This is set to be Sarnoski’s next film — he previously helmed 2021’s “Pig” and the upcoming “A Quiet Place: Day One.”
