There aren’t many directors who, just by their name associated with a movie, can still bring audiences into theaters. There’s Quentin Tarantino, Steven Spielberg, James Cameron, Clint Eastwood, and of course, Christopher Nolan.
After triumphantly stripping down his narrative with “Dunkirk,” Nolan is ready for his next film, set to be released in 2020.
There is not yet a title or plot for his next film, let alone a cast, but a Production Weekly tweet called it a “romantic thriller, like “‘North by Northwest’ in tone meets ‘Inception,’” Nolan did mention that he’s “about to start shooting” his next project, which has a release date of July 17, 2020.
Presenting an eight-minute video presentation on cinema at the UK Cinema Association conference (via ScreenDaily) he mentioned “The pressure is on us as never before to give people a reason to get out of the house.”
