‘Star Trek’ Star Zachary Quinto Says Tarantino’s ‘Trek’ Film May Feature The Reboot Cast







“Until deals are done and contracts are signed and schedules are cleared, nothing is set in stone, so anything can happen,” Quinto explained on the Happy Sad Confused podcast. “My understanding is Quentin had this idea and they were shaping it and forming it and he is off to do his Manson movie. And it would be after that, that [the 2009 cast] would go maybe do one with him. Which is pretty exciting, pretty cool.”

Jessica Jones” director S.J. Clarkson has signed on to helm the non-Tarantino “Star Trek 4,” based on a script by uncredited “Star Trek: Beyond” writers J.D. Payne and Patrick McKay. The film is rumored to see Chris Hemsworth’s George Kirk (Capt. Kirk’s dad, who famously died in the opening minutes of Abram’s 2009 reboot) returning to the franchise alongside the NuTrek cast of Chris Pine, Zachary Quinto, Zoe Saldana, Simon Pegg, Karl Urban, and John Cho.
