First Look: Danny Boyle's 'T2 Trainspotting'

Next year, Director Danny Boyle will reunite with the cast "Trainspotting" for "T2 Trainspotting". The good news is we won't have to wait that long for our first look at the film because, well, a trailer has just landed.

Based on Irvine Welsh's book "Porno," this sequel is set a decade after the original, even though its been 20 years since the last film. Fair enough, and not too conflicting. We'll get the point. With the already mentioned Boyle, the original film's screenwriter, John Hodge, is also back to stir things up.

It's good to know there will be a movie to look forward to during the sluggish cinematic months of January-March. Boyle's last effort was "Steve Jobs," an admirable movie that nevertheless left many cold. I thought it was exceptional, but flawed. Boyle's usual kinetic direction was nowhere to be found, he seemed to be a little out of place with the whole project, especially since this was supposed to be a David Fincher film at first.

Also, if you haven't seen his vastly underrated 2013 film "Trance," catch up with it. A real mindfuck that deserved more attention.
"T2" hits the screens March 3rd, 2017.

Danny Boyle ranked:

(1) Trainspotting (2) Slumdog Millionaire (3) 28 Days Later (4) 127 Hours (5) Trance (6) Steve Jobs (7) Shallow Grave (8) Sunshine (9) The Beach (10) Millions (11) A Life Less Odinary
