According to Production Weekly, Christopher Nolan’s “The Odyssey” will be filmed from January to April 2025 in UK, Morocco and Italy. There’s also still the possibility that Robert Downey Jr. might be joining the cast, but still no confirmation on that end.
The current cast is stacked with big names, and apparently there are more to be announced. For now, we have Tom Holland, Matt Damon, Zendaya, Anne Hathaway, Charlize Theron, Robert Pattinson and Lupita Nyong’o.
“The Odyssey,” which has a July 2026 release date, is an adaptation of the epic poem, composed by Homer, around 8th century BCE, and it will likely result in an automatic 3+ hour movie. It’s also reported to be the most expensive film of Nolan’s career.
