The first ‘Bad Boys’ movie was shot 30 years ago. There have been three films released during that time frame, but its stars, Will Smith and Martin Lawrence, are still going strong. Yes, Smith is back and now in the post-slap phase of his career.
The fourth film in the series, “Bad Boys: Ride Or Die,” is set to be released this summer. A trailer has been released and it looks like the same old shenanigans are back in this one. ‘Ride or Die’ will be driven by the playful banter of its leads and, of course, relentless Bay-esque action.
‘Ride Or Die’ is once again directed by filmmakers Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah, who also helmed the last one, 2020’s “Bad Boys for Life.” These are the same filmmakers who had their “Batgirl” canceled by Warner Bros. last year.
In ‘Ride Of Die,’ Smith and Lawrence will be joined by a cast that includes Vanessa Hudgens, DJ Khaled, Tiffany Haddish, and Joe Pantoliano. Written by Chris Bremner and distributed by Sony Pictures Releasing, “Bad Boys: Ride Or Die,” is set to open on June 7, 2024 — I should also note that filming on ‘Ride or Die’ only wrapped this month!
