Here’s TheInSneider revealing that “Spider-Man 4” is supposed to begin shooting this fall, in either September or October. However, Sony still doesn’t have a director for this one.
Jon Watts, who helmed the first three Spideys, has graduated to making films with George Clooney and Brad Pitt (“Wolfs” and “Wolves”). According to Sneider, Justin Lin is one of the names that was said be in contention — and may still be. There’s also Drew Goddard (“Cabin in the Woods”) as another contender.
Tom Holland and Zendaya are set to return in their respective roles. There’s still no release date yet for Spidey 4 — possibly late 2025? The last installment (“Spider-Man: No Way Home”) grossed a whopping $800 million worldwide despite being released in 2021 during the pandemic.
