Hot off her Oscar-buzzed turn in Pablo Larrain’s “Maria,” Angelina Jolie has already set up her next film which will see her team up with one of the more interesting female French filmmakers.
Variety is reporting that Jolie has been cast in Alice Winocour’s “Stitches,” a film set in the world of high fashion and unfolding in Paris. Jolie will star as a filmmaker and is one of the three lead characters “whose lives will collide during Fashion Week.”
Filming on “Stitches” is set to begin early next year. The film will be in both English and French. Winocour’s “Proxima,” which starred Eva Green, was also bilingual. Winocour’s other notable works as a filmmaker include “Paris Memories,” “Augustine” and “Disorder.”
Jolie, an Oscar winner for her performance in 1999’s “Girl, Interrupted,” has been in the acting game since the ‘90s; her most notable performances are included in such films as “Changeling,” “A Mighty Heart,” and “Maleficent.”
