It’s being confirmed that ‘Spider-Man 4’ opens July 24, 2026. That's one week after Christopher Nolan's next movie, which also stars Tom Holland. Empire City does not believe ‘Spider-Man 4’ will be keeping its date, and I’m in agreement with them, there’s very little chance:
This 1000% will not open on this date. They aren't this dumb and logistically it won't work for promotion. Holland won't do it and Nolan won't go for it either. Did the intern at Sony distribution and publicity forget to change the date or take a nap earlier this week?
Daniel Destin Cretton (“Shang-Chi”) is set to direct ‘Spider-Man 4.’ Production on the sequel will begin on May 25, 2025 in the UK, it’s going continue on until October — that’s six months of shooting. It should also be noted that the film’s release date is just two months after “Avengers: Doomsday” hits theaters.
The last instalment, “Spider-Man: No Way Home,” ended with the world forgetting that teenager Peter Parker was Spidey. That memory wipe included MJ (Zendaya), who no longer knows who Peter is. The film grossed almost $2B worldwide despite being released in 2021 during the pandemic
There have been rumors that Andrew Garfield and Tobey Maguire might be back as well for this one. When recently asked, Garfield was being cagey, and refused to deny his involvement (“rumors are not unfounded”).
