DC Studios co-chief James Gunn turned in a draft of “Superman: Legacy” last week, just days before the writers’ strike came into effect.
Gunn is in now casting the DCEU reboot, which is not expected to be affected by the strike, according to The Wrap. It’s only supposed to start shooting next January.
Gunn wrote the script and will direct the film which is said to feature a younger version of Superman. Pre-production kicked off last month, with costumes, production design “and more” now “up and running,” according to Gunn.
“Superman: Legacy” will be released on July 11, 2025. It will be the first film release of Gunn’s newly established DCEU.
