I’m being told that Pedro Almodovar’s “Strange Way of Life,” which just screened at Cannes, will probably be packaged for theatrical release with Almodovar’s 1988 classic, “Woman on the Verge of a Nervous Breakdown.” That film is actually celebrating its 25th anniversary this year. It’s still my favorite Almodovar, a melodramedy of manners that’s part farce, part absurdism and still manages, at the same time, to be tragic. It’s a great time to re-release it.
