A few alarming bells rang this weekend with “The Fabelmans” barely matching the same limited release numbers as “TAR” and “The Banshees of Inisherin.”

Todd Phillips, Lady Gaga and Joaquin Phoenix will be busy for the next five months. According to a post on Production Weekly, “Joker 2: Folie A Deux” is set to start production on November 30th and has a wrap date of April 6th.

“Babylon” is having its first official screening in Los Angeles. The film will then be screened for press on Wednesday in New York City. Both are Guild screenings with press allowed to attend, the cast and crew will be doing Q&As right after.

A question that keeps being asked is why I don’t do interviews anymore. The truth is that I’m currently not in the kind of mindset to really do them, I’ll always make exceptions such as my chat with David Cronenberg this past May at Cannes, but I have no desire at the moment.

We’re all wondering when in 2023 David Fincher’s “The Killer” will be released. I did some hard research a few months back, asking around about Fincher’s latest. I got an assortment of different responses, but coming to the conclusion that it was a 2023 release.

The much anticipated sequel to “Black Panther” took in $28 million last night in previews. It’s only a million dollars short of “Thor Love and Thunder” which opened to $29 million in previews. “Wakanda Forever” should take in anywhere between $150-$200 million by Sunday.

David Zucker is an absolute legend of the comedy genre. He’s the comic maestro behind “Naked Gun” “Airplane!” “Top Secret!” and “Scary Movie.” The man has delivered the classics.

Steven Spielberg’s “The Fabelmans” is now in New York and L.A. theaters. Its been exactly two months since its TIFF world premiere where Spielberg’s film was crowned the frontrunner of the Best Picture race.
