“Transformers One,” the franchise’s first fully animated film since 1986, racked up $3.4M in Thursday previews at the box office. The film, directed by Josh Cooley (“Toy Story 4”), is expected to take in $40M in its opening weekend, and will thus dethrone “Beetlejuice Beetlejuice” for the #1 spot. The budget for ‘Transformer One’ is said to be around $75M.
