How odd. Vin Diesel is currently shooting a film, and it has nothing to do with fast cars or “family.” Yes, the next ‘Riddick’ instalment has started production. Filmmaker David Twohy, who wrote and directed all three films in the franchise, is helming the film, which is titled “Riddick: Furya,” Here’s the synopsis:
In “Riddick: Furya,” Riddick finally returns to his homeworld, a place he barely remembers and one he fears might be left in ruins. But there, he finds other Furyans fighting for their existence against a new monster — and some of these Furyans are more like Riddick than he could have ever imagined.
‘Furya,’ which has Diesel reprising his role as the 28th century antihero, will be the fourth ‘Riddick’ movie, following 2000’s “Pitch Black,” 2004’s “The Chronicles of Riddick” and 2013’s “Riddick.” The shoot will take place in Germany, Spain and the U.K, and is set to last until early October. No release date has been announced.
