Why, Jamie Lee Curtis? Why did you backtrack on your hilarious one word bashing of the MCU? It was absolute perfection.
Curtis is saying she will no longer throw shade at Marvel after her Comic-Con interview with MTV went viral in which she was asked to name what phase the Marvel Cinematic Universe was in right now. Curtis responded: “Bad.”
My comments about Marvel were stupid and I will do better. I’ve reached out to Kevin Feige and will no longer play in that mud slinging sandbox of competition we call the internet nor will I engage in the toilet paper promotion or game play that is designed for clicks not content.
There is nothing wrong in criticizing Marvel, especially in their post-Endgame phase. Sure, “Deadpool & Wolverine” is all the rage right now, and there is a large faction of the moviegoing public who believe the MCU is back with a vengeance, but it’s no done deal. Marvel is still a mess right now, and it’s going to need a few hits to get back on track.
This isn’t the first time Curtis slammed Marvel. In 2023, she claimed her multiverse movie “Everything Everywhere All at Once” was superior to the MCU’s multiverse movies. She went on to also apologize for those comments.
