Amidst rumors that he’s retired, Korean master Lee Chang-dong, 70, is telling The New Yorker that he’s not calling it quits and is in fact currently writing a new film that he plans to shoot this year. No other details were given. His last film was 2018’s “Burning,” perhaps his best one, but his filmography is filled with great films, “Poetry,” “Secret Sunshine” and “Peppermint Candy,” among others.
