It was just four days ago word came out that David Leitch was in serious talks to direct the next ‘Jurassic World’ movie for Universal. Well, not anymore. He’s dropped out. The reason given for this sudden change of course is “creative differences.”
The film is supposed to start production in a few months — where’s the cast announcement? Now, Universal has to quickly scramble to find a new director if they want to hit the movie’s July 2, 2025 release date.
This latest film is said to be a new take on ‘Jurassic’ with former castmembers Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard not expected to return, nor the original trilogy’s Jeff Goldblum, Laura Dern and Sam Neill. They’re, supposedly, scratching off nostalgia for something fresh and new.
