The review embargo has lifted on Robert Eggers’ “Nosferatu,” and as expected, the reception is very positive, with only a handful of critics having some reservations.
So far, it stands at 80 on Metacritic, which is around the same score as Eggers’ other three films received on the aggregate (The Witch 84, The Lighthouse 83, The Northman 82).

Eggers’ obsession with fairytales, folktales, and mythology are all over “Nosferatu,” which stars Lily-Rose Depp, Nicholas Hoult, Bill Skarsgård, and Willem Dafoe. The film has set up a December 25 theatrical release.
