Last week, HBO denied Jeff Sneider’s report that “Euphoria” was “dead.” They claimed that the show is still a go to shoot in early 2025.
Now, in a THR interview, HBO boss Casey Bloys swears that ‘Euphoria’ Season 3 will begin filming in late January and that everything is all ready to go. He even adds that the final season will be comprised of 8 episodes.
I know the show gets a lot of attention now because, you know, it has created some genuine movie stars, and they have various projects that they are working on, but we are shooting this season, so nothing has changed.
Sam Levinson and HBO were originally eyeing a six-month shoot for “Euphoria.” Has that changed? We know that Jacob Elordi, Zendaya and Sydney Sweeney will be very busy next year and the only way that HBO/Levinson could potentially pull this scheduling conflict off is if Season 3 basically has each episode centering on a different character. It’s possible.
Just to recap, Zendaya’s 2025 schedule includes Christopher Nolan, ‘Spider-Man 4’ and “Dune: Messiah.” Elordi is committed to Emerald Fennell’s “Wuthering Heights” in the first quarter of 2025. Meanwhile, Sydney Sweeney is set to film Paul Feig’s “The Housemaid” in February, 2025.
