‘Bridget Jones 4' Set to Be Renée Zellweger's First Film Since ‘Judy' Oscar Win [Trailer]

How many other actors have had a long span between winning an Oscar and appearing in their next film? Not many. Renée Zellweger seems to be one of the very few exceptions.

Zelwegger won the Oscar for 2019’s “Judy” and then again disappeared from the limelight. She hasn’t starred in any movie since. Way before “Judy,” she had won he first Oscar, 15 years earlier, for “Cold Mountain.” This is a two-time Oscar winning actress.

Regardless, six years after her “Judy” win, Zelwegger is back and reprising her most famous role: Bridget Jones in “Bridget Jones: Mad About the Boy.” But hold up, this is apparently going straight to Peacock streaming on February 13. Internationally, it’s getting a theatrical rollout. A trailer has just been released for this third ‘Bridget Jones.’

What a strange career Zellweger’s had. With the aforementioned Oscar winning films, her most notable work can also be found in “Jerry Maguire,” “Chicago,” and the best performance of her career, 2000’s “Nurse Betty.”
