Here’s the trailer for Wes Anderson’s “The Wonderful Story of Henry Sugar.”
I know some of our readers, actually, a lot of them, have grown to dislike Anderson’s highly stylized cinema, but I’m not one of them. I also find his films have grown more avant grade in recent years, less reliant on plot and more in tune with philosophical ruminations.
There’s something about his obsessively detailed, uber-controlled worlds that fits my fancy. Regardless, the complaints are that Anderson keeps repeating himself with every new movie he releases. This is Anderson’s stamp.
Watching this trailer, without having any idea about who directed it, you’d still know it was a Wes Anderson film. His unique style is all over this one, and I’m not complaining.
