“Circus Maximus,” a secretly shot film, running 75 minutes long and starring Travis Scott, was released in select theaters last week. The news came out of nowhere. There are actually only two reviews logged in on Rotten Tomatoes for “Circus Maximus,” both negative.
Good news. “Circus Maximus” is now freely available to stream on YouTube. I’ll give it a look see later this evening. What’s most exciting about this project isn’t necessarily Scott’s involvement, but, rather, the fact that the film was co-directed by Gaspar Noé, Harmony Korine and Nicolas Winding Refn.
Korine has another film he filmed with Scott, titled “Aggro Dr1ft,” and shot in infrared, premiering at the Venice Film Festival this coming September. It will also be screening at TIFF and then the New York Film Festival in October (the latter still hasn’t officially been announced yet).
