Some big news.
Daniel Richtman is reporting that a trailer for Scorsese’s “Killers of the Flower Moon” will be coming on Thursday.
This will be the first footage we’ve gotten of the movie. Last month, we had 3 new images unveiled to us, this was right before Scorsese presented some scenes from the film at CinemaCon.
The film clocks in at 206 minutes. Cannes boss Thierry Fremaux told Le Figaro this past weekend that the version Scorsese screened for him last November ran for 3 hours 40 minutes.
Initial production on the $200 million budgeted ‘Killers’ wrapped in October of 2021. Then a series of reshoots occurred in mid-2022, both in New York City and Oklahoma.
When it gets released this October, it will be close to two years since production had wrapped on the film. This would break Scorsese’s post-production length record, 2010’s “Shutter Island” took about 20 months.
The film is set to have its world premiere at the Cannes Film Festival on May 20th. ‘Killers’ will be the 26th feature of Scorsese’s illustrious career.
