When you’re Trent Reznor & Atticus Ross, you have the luxury of picking and choosing projects that you like. Many composers don’t have that kind of freedom of choice.
Which begs me to ask the question: why have Reznor/Ross decided to score “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem”? I don’t see any artistic rewards for them with this one.
The two-time Oscar winners will also be scoring David Fincher’s “The Killer.” The film is currently set for release in November. In fact, Reznor/Ross have been scoring Fincher’s films since 2010’s “The Social Network.”
The musical duo have been non-stop busy ever since their landmark score for ‘Social Network’. Not counting the Finchers, they’ve also injected their musical chops into such projects as “Waves,” “Patriots Day,” “Mid90s,” “Watchmen,” “Empire of Light” and “Pixar’s Soul.”
