UPDATED: Get it while you can. I have no idea how official this is. It looks great. Trailer.
EARLIER: A full trailer for Christopher Nolan’s “Oppenheimer” is being shown before “Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3” screenings. I believe only in IMAX screenings, but not 100% sure.
Below the page you can find 8 new stills from it.
We are going to see a different trailer than the last one. Nolan described it as the "sights and sounds" of “Oppenheimer.” What we’ve had so far were teasers, but this one sounds more hefty.
It’s said to be around three minutes long. Definitely not a teaser. We’re finally getting something to chew on. Emily Blunt and Florence Pugh show up in this one. Albert Einstein is featured in two separate meeting with Robert Oppenheimer.
The gist of the trailer is "we have to build the bomb to beat the Nazis" and "to end the war,” which follows well with the thematic resonance of the book the film is based on.
“Oppenheimer” has a budget of around $100 million and clocks in at 3 hours. It’s the lengthiest film of Nolan’s career. It’ll also be interesting to see just how much of “Oppenheimer” will be shot in IMAX analog black and white by Nolan and DP Hoyte Van Hoytema. Nolan says not a lot.
Cillian Murphy will play the father of the hydrogen bomb J. Robert Oppenheimer. A man who, despite inventing the deadly weapon, wanted to place International controls on his dangerous invention, post-Hiroshima.
Filming on “Oppenheimer” had started on February 21 and ended on May 22 with a cast that includes Cillian Murphy, Matt Damon, Emily Blunt, Florence Pugh, Rami Malek and Robert Downey Jr.
