Duke Johnson co-directed and wrote, with Charlie Kaufman, 2016’s darkly fantastic “Anomalisa.” It was his feature-directing debut.
Now he’s teaming up with Andre Holland for his second picture, “The Actor,” which started production in Budapest back in November and has just wrapped filming, according to NEON.
The film follows the story of an amnesiac man in 1950s Ohio who wakes up with no memory of who he is. He then attempts to trace back his identity in New York to figure out his own mystery.
“The Actor” is based on the best-selling novel, “Memory,” by Donald E. Westlake. NEON has yet to reveal a release date for “The Actor.” Of post-production is completed on time then a fall fest showing is a cinch.
