Here’s another bombshell report on Jonathan Majors, but why am I not surprised? It just seems to align with the way things have been going.
After being dropped by his own management team yesterday, we figured something must be going on behind-the-scenes. I was thinking maybe a Vanity Fair investigation piece featuring additional victims. I was close.
Variety reports that multiple alleged abuse victims of Jonathan Majors have come forward following his March arrest and are cooperating with the Manhattan district attorney’s office.
Sources familiar with the matter tell Variety that multiple alleged abuse victims of Majors have come forward following his March arrest and are cooperating with the Manhattan district attorney’s office. The prospect of more women waiting in the wings would mark a dramatic turn in the case and comes on the heels of Majors’ publicists and management firm cutting ties with the embattled actor earlier this week.
Multiple victims increases the chances of this going to trial. At this point, when it comes to Marvel dropping Majors from the MCU, it’s not a question of if, but when. There’s no way they keep him now.
What’s so incredible about Majors’ epic downfall is the timing of it. He had two #1 movies at the box-office and another Oscar buzzed title premiering at Sundance. His stock was skyrocketing.
Now, we have hints of sociopathic behavior. He’s in serious trouble. Maybe the worst thing that could have possibly happened to him was getting very famous, otherwise, who knows if these abuse allegations would have ever come out.
On February 14th, more than a month before Majors got into trouble, indie director AB Allen tweeted the following …
Allen later confirmed that he was referring to Majors in that tweet.
There was also director Tim Nicolai, who detailed his experience of knowing Majors. In his tweet, which has since been made private, Nicholai wrote:
Majors is supposed to earn $20 million for next year’s “Avengers: The Kang Dynasty.” There is time before they have to make a decision regarding the actor's MCU fate. We all know where this is going, but it’s a very slow-moving train in that regard.
Additionally, Majors is supposed to play Dennis Rodman in a movie. He's also set to star in Spike Lee's DA UNDERSTUDY … produced by Will Smith.
I can’t see either of these projects keeping him on.
As for “Magazine Dreams,” which was bought by Searchlight at this past January’s Sundance Film Festival, the Oscar buzz for Majors’ impressive performance is forever gone. I imagine the film will now be, quietly, dumped in the dead of winter 2024.
In case you’re wondering what Majors’ lawyer, Priya Chaudhry, is saying about all of these accusations against her client …
Jonathan Majors is innocent and has not abused anyone. We have provided irrefutable evidence to the District Attorney that the charges are false. We are confident that he will be fully exonerated.”
