Now it’s your turn.
I gather many of our readers, from many countries, all over the world, had a chance to watch “John Wick: Chapter 4” this weekend.
So, what did you think? Best film of the series? The reviews are all pointing in that direction. A $73 million opening for a near 3-hour movie is something to celebrate.
The last hour is magnificent, I’ll give it that. Of course, SPOILERS must be discussed when it comes to this one because this is the most interesting ending we’ve had so far in the ‘John Wick’ franchise.
I wouldn’t put much stock into whether he actually died or survived. The film leaves it open-ended, without showing definitive proof: Wick’s lifeless body. There is a bit of wiggle room here for Chad Stahelski and Keanu Reeves to eventually plot a fifth film.
“It’s an ambiguous ending,” producer Basil Iwanyck, who produced all four “John Wick” movies, told Eric Kohn. “I’ll put it that way. We don’t have this answer.”
He’s right. It’s not that hard to imagine Wick faking his own death to start a new life, without any bother.
