The trailer for Eli Roth’s “Thanksgiving,” set for release on November 17th. It test screened last week — here’s a reaction of this morning’s trailer from a person who has seen “Thanksgiving”:
It’s very grisly, gory fun film. The trailer hides a lot. The plot is very basic and the acting is more miss than hit but the movie excels with gleeful violence and tropes of the slasher genre, this is definitely one for the horror fans first and foremost
So, basically, a dumb and graphic horror movie just in time for the holidays. Roth is mostly known for “Cabin Fever” and “Hostel.” His other directing credits include “The Green Inferno,” “Hostel II,” and “The House With the Clock on the Walls.”
Earlier this year, Roth actually left the troubling production of “Borderlands” to shoot “Thanksgiving.” Tim Miller (“Deadpool”) took over as “Borderlands” director, but I’m hearing Roth will still get directing credit on the movie, which has an August 9th, 2024 release date.
