This story shocked everyone today. Warner Bros’ “Batgirl,” already complete and budgeted at $100 million, is not getting released
How bad can it be? Apparently, what Warners saw must have been shockingly bad, otherwise how do you just shelf a $100 million movie.
You heard that right, the studio who gave us “Suicide Squad” thinks we’re not worthy to watch this, supposedly, terrible movie. If this doesn’t pique your curiosity for the film … maybe Warner is playing 4D chess to make us badly want to see this film.
Warner Bros is treating this film like that VHS from “The Ring”: if you watch it, you will die in seven days. How soul-crushing can “Batgirl”actually be?
Meanwhile, they have Ezra Miller, AKA The Flash, assaulting people around the world left and right, but it sounds like that movie is still going forward with release.
Now, we’re probably going to be getting fan campaigns to release the damn thing, in one format or another. The WB and DCEU is such a mess right now.
Michael Keaton came out of Batman retirement to be in “Batgirl”. The film stars Leslie Grace as the titular heroine, JK Simmons is also there, and it’s directed by “Bad Boys for Life filmmakers, Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah.
