Much to my surprise, on Tuesday evening, I noticed that a glitch on my Disqus account had prevented close to 300 comments from being published these last few months. They apparently flagged words like “asshole,” “pussy,” “dickhead,” “douchebag,” but also random non-profane terms that prevented people from posting sane comments. What gives? I’ve lifted the restrictions, released the hounds, so to speak. Oh, and Disqus had decided to run an inordinate amount of ads before and after the comments section. That’s been fixed thanks to Disqus Senior Publishing Manager Michael DeBolt, a big thank you to him for that.
