I already weighed in on Joe and Anthony Russo’s “The Gray Man,” which makes their last movie (“Cherry”) look like “Citizen Kane” in comparison.
The critics have now chimed in today. A 48 on Metacritic and 49% on Rotten Tomatoes. BAD! Especially for a $200 million budgeted movie, and the talent involved.
What’s the deal here? Why is every Netflix action blockbuster so terrible? It’s more than likely that they need to adhere to a dumbed-down subscriber demographic, how else would you explain “Red Notice,” “Bright,” “Spencer Confidential,” “The Man From Toronto,” “6 Underground,” “Army of the Dead” etc.
All big-budgeted movies with big name directors that felt like they were created by an algorithm.
