That’s a wrap on M Night Shyamalan’s “Knock at the Cabin” (great title). I don’t know about you, but despite all the duds in his 14-movie filmography, and by my count around half of them are (7 bad movies), I’m always excited to see what Shyamalan does next.
“Knock at the Cabin,” which began shooting on April 20th, was rumoured to be a thriller. Further plot details had been kept under wraps since then. The film stars Dave Bautista, Rupert Grint and Nikki Amuka-Bird.z
Like all Shyamalans, Universal and the filmmaker want plot details to remain a secret. However, there are clues online which led to me to a person who revealed to me the gist of the storyline, and it sounds like something Shyamalan could, ahem, knock out of the park.
The plot revolves around two married men spending a weekend at a cabin, with their adopted daughter, who are suddenly attacked by a group of mysterious people (Bautista, Grint, Nikki). The group says that they’ve had visions/dreams telling them that either one of the husbands or their daughter must be killed or else the apocalypse will happen and the world will end. Even more crushing, it has to be One of the husbands or their daughter that to do the killing. Are these people insane or is this real and must they do the sacrificial killing to prevent an apocalypse?
“Knock at the Cabin” is set to hit theaters on February 3, 2023
