Back in November, I had mentioned that Ruben Ostlund had already submitted to Cannes a rough cut of his upcoming movie “Triangle of Sadness.”
Ostlund, who won the Palme d’Or with his last film “The Square” in 2017, wrapped shooting his ambitious satire “Triangle of Sadness” in 2019. Now comes word that he’s currently working on trimming a three-hour cut of the film.
”Triangle of Sadness” is said to be a dark comedy centering on a fashion model celebrity couple who are invited on a luxury cruise for the super-rich. The yacht –whose captain is a rabid Marxist– sinks, leaving the duo stranded on a desert island in Greece with a group of billionaire jetsetters and a cleaning lady.
