Not sure what to make of these Grecian black & gold costumes. A reader by the name of Gary wrote, “Hope to God this doesn't end up as a kind of "Star Trek: Plato's Stepchildren" looking thing.”
We’re also presuming Laboeuf is in costume here for “Megalopolis” and he doesn't go around dressed like this normally. Coppola has had this film storyboarded and ready to go for a few decades now, one has to wonder if he’s updated these storyboards at all in recent years.
Regardless, “Megalopolis” started production this week in Atlanta. The main cast will be composed of Adam Driver, Forest Whitaker, Nathalie Emmanuel, Jon Voight, Laurence Fishburne, Talia Shire, Shia LaBeouf, Jason Schwartzman, Dustin Hoffman, Kathryn Hunter, Aubrey Plaza and James Remar.
Production is set to run through March 2023. There is, obviously, no release date as of now. I would think ”Megalopolis” gets a 2024 slot given all the VFX and new technology that will be used on the film.
