Steven Soderbergh‘s upcoming 1950-set crime thriller, “No Sudden Move,” will make its world premiere at the Tribeca Film Festival in June. The film, written by Ed Solomon (Soderbergh’s “Mosaic“), will be part of the Centerpiece Gala picture at this year’s festival, set to run June 9-20.
What would a year be without a new Soderbergh movie. This one has a stunning ensemble, Don Cheadle, Benicio Del Toro, Jon Hamm, Matt Damon, Julia Fox, Kieran Culkin, Ray Liotta, and Amy Seimetz. Wowza. The plot, according to IMDB, has to do with a group of criminals brought together under mysterious circumstances who have to work together to uncover what’s really going on when a heist goes awry.
This sounds like Soderbergh going back to familiar “Oceans 11” and “Logan Lucky” territory and we’re not complaining one bit about it. An HBO Max premiere is set for July 1st. While we’re at it, this is a good chance to remind you to watch Soderbergh’s other HBO Max movie, the December-released “Let Them All Talk.”
