I conducted a quick Twitter/Facebook poll this afternoon, asking people to post their five favourite films of the year thus far. Over 100 people participated, and the results were as follows:

Weak year, right? Then again, most of the people who voted in this poll still haven’t seen “Licorice Pizza,” “Cmon Cmon,” “The Lost Daughter,” “Benedetta,” “A Hero,” “Red Rocket” etc.
Jane Campion’s “The Power of the Dog” isn’t coming out until December, but it still managed to finish 7th. One can imagine it topping this poll if it were actually already released.
