Dating would be much better than high-school
Another lie you were probably sold before going to college is that the dating scene is idyllic and students can date hot boyfriends or get very smart girlfriends. Many students have longed to finish off their high-school years to get a piece of the pie in this interesting endeavor. When those students finally get to college, they realize that this was nothing but a pipe dream. Depending on the size of the university, the dating scene in a university is pretty much the same as high school. There is indeed a possibility to find meaningful romantic relationships in college but it is not as beautiful as in the movies.
College parties
College parties are one thing students look forward to when they are about to join a new educational institution. The fraternity parties and freshman gathering look very beautiful on the screen than they are in real life. For example, in most cases, the movies portray a designated DJ that might be famous for performing at such gatherings. The scene looks beautiful, with large open spaces that are beautifully decorated with neon lights. The fact is that parties in college are not all what movies say they are. Instead, they are done in smaller settings with music playing from a Bluetooth speaker and are not that cool.
Conclusion
Movies are known to exaggerate the way things happen in real life. But at the same time, it’s not entirely outlandish as well.
