It doesn’t look like the Hollywood boycott of Georgia will have any effect on Clint Eastwood’s next movie.
The legendary actor recently filmed “The Mule” in several parts of Atlanta and will be going back to that same city when production on “The Ballad Of Richard Jewell” commences in a few months. Kathy Bates, Olivia Wilde, Jon Hamm, and Sam Rockwell are all expected to star in the movie.
Of course, the news comes as Georgia enacted a controversial heartbeat law which has had Hollywood up in arms and threatening to boycott Georgia’s booming film and television industry. Most of the Marvel/Disney movies have had shoots in the state. Georgia's Republican Gov. Brian Kemp had signed the legislation, banning abortions once a fetal heartbeat could be detected as early as six weeks "to ensure that all Georgians have the opportunity to live, grow, learn and prosper in our great state." He also emphasized that, "Georgia is a state that values life."
