“Green Book” producer Charles Wessler’s Oscar celebrations seem to have been short-lived as an email he sent to NBC News journalist Jenni Miller has surfaced courtesy of Miller’s Twitter account.
Miller’s January NBC News article with the headline “Green Book’ is a movie about racism, made by white people for white people. See the problem?” clearly irked Wessler to no end, to the point where he sent her an angry email defending the film. I don’t blame him.
He opened the letter by saying, “‘Green Book’ is the furthest thing from a racist movie.”
Wessler continued “It was made by white people and black people. There is no ‘problem’ as you say in your Click Bait headline. African Americans for the most part LOVE this film. How can you determine that this is made for white people when IN FACT you do NOT know.”
Nothing wrong with that email response, but, after the Oscar win, Miller decided to publish screenshots of the letter on Twitter and push her agenda forward. She seems like a nice gal.
