Fresh off her triumphant turn as Queen Elizabeth II in "The Crown," and her excellent turn in Steven Soderbergh's "Unsane," Claire Foy will star in Damien Chazelle's "First Man" this fall, and she is also set to play Lisbeth Salander in "The Girl in the Spider's Web."
The latter has a trailer and after a watch, our main questions is: Why even bother? They're skipping the 2nd and 3rd book. No Daniel Craig, no Rooney Mara, and no David Fincher. Also, who had the brain-dead idea to do the 4th book, which is widely considered to be the worst one of the series? An incredibly strange decision by Sony on this one. Fede Alvarez is a promising director, "Don't Breathe" proved that, but it will be very hard for him to match what Fincher did with the 2011 film.
“The Girl in the Spider’s Web” opens November 9.
