Peter Parker will be back on the big-screen this summer in “Spider-Man: Far From Home.”
This is, of course, the sequel to "Spider-Man: Homecoming," a successful reboot of the webslinger franchise. Director Jon Watts ("Cop Car") is back at the helm, but, more intriguingly, the film will be set in Europe as Peter and company go on summer vacation. Added to the cast is villain Mysterio (Jake Gyllenhaal), who will be joined by "Homecoming" antagonist Vulture (Michael Keaton).

Despite terrible reviews (29% on Rotten Tomatoes), Sony’s“Venom” grossed more than $854 million worldwide. Now "Venom" creator Todd McFarlane is saying critics just didn't get it. Speaking to Yahoo, McFarlane, a world-re-known comic book creator responsible for Venom, and Spawn, believes that critics just needed to embrace their inner teenage fanboy.

This was a very pleasant visual experience, to say the least. "Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse," an animated take on the Marvel superhero, is the closest a movie has coming to making a comic book spring to life. The film tells the coming-of-age story of Miles Morales (voiced by Sameik Moore), teenage son to an African-American cop and a Puerto Rican nurse, who gets bitten by a radioactive spider and...well you know the set-up.

The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences just announced the films that qualified for the Animated Oscar this year. Five nominees will be selected.
The front-runners currently are: “Incredibles 2,” “Isle of Dogs,” “Ralph Breaks the Internet,” “Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse,” “Early Man,” “Smallfoot,” and “Mirai.”
