At this point, I would be absolutely shocked if “Everything Everywhere All At Once” didn’t win Best Picture next Sunday.
Last night, it won the Writers Guild of America and that means it’s practically swept all the guilds: DGA, PGA, WGA and SAG ensemble. Not to mention Michelle Yeoh, Ke Huy Quan and Jamie Lee Curtis won SAGs in their respective categories.
None of the other Best Picture nominees stand a chance, unless we’re all sleeping on “All Quiet on the Western Front,” which I doubt. When’s the last time a film has triumphed this much during awards season?
To bet against EEAAO would be foolish. And to those who’ve asked why I don’t give the film another shot, I have! I’ve actually seen the damn film three times.
