There was competitive bidding surrounding Playwright-writer-director Sophie Fleur de Bruijn’s “One Month Mark,” a rom-com based on her own spec script. Apple Original Films has now picked up the project, and that’s with Jennifer Lawrence having attached herself to star and produce.
The film follows two individuals, per the synopsis: “she has never made it past a month in a relationship, he has never gone longer than a month without one.” Going straight to streaming? That seems to be what Apple has been doing a lot lately.
Lawrence, an Oscar winner, just wrapped Scorsese’s “What Happens at Night.” Her last couple of film credits include “Don’t Look Up” (2021), “Causeway” (2022), “No Hard Feelings” (2023) and “Die My Love” (2025). She’s also supposed to have a cameo in the upcoming ‘Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping.’
