Jared Harris has joined Leonardo DiCaprio, Jennifer Lawrence, Mads Mikkelsen, and Patricia Clarkson in Martin Scorsese’s “What Happens at Night.”
A great character actor, Harris is known, in my world at least, for playing Lane Pryce in “Mad Men” — a character whose quiet authority and tragic arc left a lasting impression. His other stellar TV credits include “The Crown,” and his Golden Globe nominated turn in HBO’s “Chernobyl.”
Harris’ long list of film credits includes “I Shot Andy Warhol,” “The Last of the Mohicans,” “Natural Born Killers,” “Dead Man,” “Smoke,” “Happiness,” “Igby Goes Down,” “The Curious Case of Benjamin Button,” “Certain Women,” and “House of Dynamite.”
As reported earlier, the whole gang, including Scorsese, DiCaprio, and Lawrence, are in Prague right now, which is where “What Happens at Night” is being shot. There’s also filming that’s supposed to take place in New York City during the final weeks of production.
