‘Ready or Not 2’ Adds Elijah Wood, Sarah Michelle Gellar & David Cronenberg (!!!)

April 21, 2025 Jordan Ruimy

Sarah Michelle Gellar, Elijah Wood and David Cronenberg have signed on for Searchlight’s upcoming “Ready Or Not: Here I Come,” the sequel from the Radio Silence team. The film has started production in Toronto.

They join previously announced cast members Samara Weaving Kathryn Newton, and Kevin Durandin in the film, written by Guy Busick and R. Christopher Murphy.

While best known for his work behind the camera, Cronenberg has also built a modest yet memorable acting career. Often appearing in small roles, he's brought his distinct presence to films such as “Jason X, “ “Alias Grace,” “To Die For,” “Night Breed,” and “Star Trek: Discovery.”

The original “Ready or Not” proved to be a strong performer for Searchlight, earning positive reviews and more than $57M worldwide on a modest $6M budget. It was also the breakout hit that Radio Silence, aka Matt Bettinelli-Olpin, and Tyler Gillett, needed as they would go on to direct the last two ‘Scream’ instalments.
