LaKeith Stanfield will star opposite Jennifer Lawrence and Robert Pattinson in “Die, My Love.” Lynne Ramsay is directing the film, being dubbed as a “thriller”. Ramsay also co-wrote the script with Enda Walsh (via Deadline).
This is great news as Stanfield is a wonderful actor. It’ll be interesting to see what role he’s going to play in this one. Stanfield has built up a wonderful filmography as a character actor, his credits include “Atlanta,” “Sorry to Bother You,” “Judas and the Black Messiah,” “Get Out” and “Knives Out.
“Die, My Love,” an adaptation of a novel by Argentine writer Ariana Harwicz, is being described as a stark tale set in rural France of a woman driven to the brink of insanity by marriage and motherhood. Martin Scorsese is set to produce the film.
Ramsay is a major talent. “Die, My Love” is set to be her first film in over 7 years. She’s only directed four films during the course of her 24-year career: “Ratcatcher,” “Morvern Callar,” “We Need to Talk About Kevin” and “You Were Never Really Here.”
