Six years after Steve Rodgers handed over “Captain America” reigns to Sam Wilson, Aka The Falcon, in “Avengers: Endgame”, Wilson (Anthony Mackie) will be the lead of “Captain America: Brave New World.” A trailer has been released, and it doesn’t look that bad?
Here’s the official synopsis:
After meeting with newly elected U.S. President Thaddeus Ross, played by Harrison Ford in his Marvel Cinematic Universe debut, Sam finds himself in the middle of an international incident. He must discover the reason behind a nefarious global plot before the true mastermind has the entire world seeing red.
Reshoots on the film are currently underway in Georgia, until August. A few weeks ago, I reported the film’s budget had ballooned to $350M. The film is written by Malcolm Spellman and Dalan Musson. However, Marvel brought in Matthew Orton for extensive rewrites in relation to the reshoots.
The film, which stars Anthony Mackie, Liv Tyler, Harrison Ford, Shira Haas, and Tim Blake Nelson, is set to be released on February 14, 2025.
