Back in May 2023, A24 acquired domestic rights for John Crowley’s “We Live in Time,” starring Andrew Garfield and Florence Pugh, which had been shooting in London. A trailer has been released.
John Crowley is best known for 2015’s “Brooklyn,” but he’s left screenplay duties here to Olivier award-winning playwright Nick Payne. Crowley’s last film was the ill-received “The Goldfinch.” “We Live in Time,” has test-screened, numerous times, and reactions haven’t been the most stellar.
Yesterday, “We Live in Time” was announced as one of the world premieres at the upcoming 2024 Toronto International Film Festival. The film centers on an up-and-coming chef (Garfield) and a recent divorcée (Pugh), who embark on a decade-spanning romance.
“We Live in Time” is set to hit theaters on October 11.
