Looks like “Inside Out 2” might finish at the top of the box-office for the third weekend in a row, that is if current tracking numbers for “A Quiet Place: Day One” stick.
The latest update has the ‘Quiet Place’ spinoff having a $42M opening weekend. Good reviews would surely help get more bums into seats, but, as I had reported last week, Paramount has a review embargo for this one lasting until the day of Thursday previews.
The late embargo is a sign of weakness on the part of Paramount. If they were so confident about this one, then they’d have allowed reviews to be published by now. It’s not like “A Quiet Place: Day One” is a total stinker either. It’s a rather baffling situation.
